A New Joyful Journey for One El Nido Family Thanks to the San Diego Woman's Club

The San Diego Woman's Club (SDWC President Judy Mantle on left and Member Diane Hazard on right), sponsors of Unit #3 at El Nido, have long been faithful supporters of the families, the staff, and the program at El Nido. The compassionate contributions of this woman's club has consistently made a positive difference in the lives of domestic violence survivors and they have been recognized by the California Federation of Women's Clubs for their contributions and work on behalf of DV victims.

This month, those contributions looked like a fresh start for one El Nido family. Yasel recently graduated from El Nido and was planning on relocating with her children. While the journey was ultimately joyful, the logistics were beginning to pose a challenge. Thankfully, the women of the SDWC stepped up and made a way for the family by ensuring Yasel had transportation to her new home. This is just one more story of generosity in a decades-long list of support by the SDWC.

Thank you, SDWC, for empowering the El Nido program and for getting Yasel and her family on the road to their new beginning.
