A Volunteer from the Rotational Shelter was Honored by a Local Foundation

Las Primeras is an all-volunteer group of women dedicated to a legacy of compassionate giving. The group, founded in 1950, is focused on changing lives. Through fundraising and involvement in the South Bay community, Las Primeras offers hope, encouragement, and fosters independence to those in need.

In April, Las Primeras hosted their annual gala and honored several people serving the South Bay. Among the list of South Bay Superheros was Chula Vista Presbyterian's own, Dorothy Endsley. Dorothy was honored for her work serving guests of the Rotational Shelter. Dorothy's dedication caught the attention of her peers, and she was celebrated for her work uplifting others.

Chula Vista Presbyterian has been a part of the Rotational Shelter Program for 30 years and during that time has served hundreds of people experiencing situational homelessness. The leadership of Volunteer Coordinator Joan Stroh and Pastor Liz Manahan, combined with volunteers like Dorothy, has made a life-changing impact on individuals and families in the South Bay.

Thank you Las Primeras for spotlighting the great work of Dorothy and Chula Vista Presbyterian Church.
