Fresh Start
Hope Reaches Out

Joshua Khalil, a third-year college student at UCSD, reached out to ISN with an idea. Joshua founded an organization in the hopes of giving back to his community. The objective of his organization is to help people get back on their feet and support them with the tools and necessities to get started. The organization is called “Fresh Start”.
Joshua reached out to ISN, looking for a partner who could help him with this vision. The organization would offer individuals grooming services (a haircut/shave), toiletries for hygiene/shower, assistance with crafting a resume, applying for entry-level jobs, and providing them with work attire for their interview. Additionally, "Fresh Start" would include assistance in obtaining proper identification.
We knew Joshua's vision would be a perfect fit with the Rotational Shelter Program. Joshua worked with Manolo and the La Jolla Presbyterian Church to host his program for the guests in the shelter. Below is Joshua Khalil and his Fresh Start team as they gave haircuts to shelter guests.
Thank you so much, Joshua! We hope to work with you and your team in the future.
