El Nido Families Celebrate the Holidays with Alumni Families and Supporters

Joy, gratitude, and the gifts of the season were in abundance at the El Nido Annual Holiday Party. This highlight of the year was made possible thanks to the contributions of the community. Many thanks to:

  • Barb and Sheryl for providing a delicious main course,
  • The Santa Sophia Catholic Daughters for preparing wonderful side dishes,
  • Christine and congregation members from St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church for the perfect homemade desserts,
  • Cathie, for providing the holiday beverages,
  • Joan, for ensuring we had essential paper goods,
  • Kensington Community Church for hosting and leading the opening prayer
  • Mission Hills UCC youth group for orchestrating fun, interactive games and helping with the crafts,
  • The Transitional Housing Committee for helping with the planning
  • The ISN Board, staff, and volunteers who helped set up and clean up
  • and the San Diego Woman's Club, who pulled some strings and managed to get a special guest appearance by Santa Claus, who came prepared with gifts!

Interfaith Shelter Network is truly a communal endeavor. Thank you all for making a great event for El Nido families.
