Corporate and private donations are the single
biggest income source of our annual budget.
Monetary donations go to the operations of the Network office
unless otherwise specified, which coordinates the efforts of the
congregations, volunteers, and case management agencies whose combined
effort makes the Network happen. Tax-deductible donations can be mailed to
Interfaith Shelter Network Or you can donate on-line by clicking here and designating your donation for the Interfaith Shelter Network. On line donations are handled through a secure server at Network for Good, who forwards up to 100% of your donation to us. Click on the Donate Now icon for your donation. El Nido Gently used furniture is sometimes needed at our El Nido facility to replace worn items. Contact them directly at (619) 563-9878 or email kgood@interfaithshelter.org Current El Nido Wish List
Employer Matching Gifts Donations Double
your next donation through your employer’s matching gift program! Taking
advantage of these programs is a terrific way to increase the size of your gift
– perhaps even double it – without adding a cent. To figure out if your
employer offers matching gifts, visit http://www.matchinggifts.com/demo.cfm
or
check with your employer for information on their specific matching program. Shop on-line, benefit the Network If you could give Interfaith Shelter Network up to 26% or more of each everyday purchase you made at no extra cost to you, would you? That's exactly what happens when you join the online community called iGive.com. It doesn't cost a cent to join and once you're a member, every time you shop the Mall at iGive.com we can get a percentage of each purchase you make. Just think of it - free money for the Network, your choice of over 400 nationally known online merchants like Barnes & Noble, Eddie Bauer, Lands' End and PETsMART, your privacy guaranteed, plus money-saving deals and specials every day! Vehicle Donations Consider donating your vehicle to the Network. The vehicle donation program will result in a tax deduction. Details are available by calling (619)308-8503. e-Scrip The e-Scrip program donates a portion of credit card authorizations and selected grocery club cards directly to checking accounts of organizations which benefit youths. That would be El Nido's Children Enrichment Program for the pre-school and school-age children staying at our transitional housing program for homeless battered women and children. Albertson's Community Partners At Albertsons, just swipe your Community Partners card as you pay for your groceries. The amount will be recorded and credited to the El Nido Transitional Housing Program Children's Enrichment Program. Each quarter, Albertsons will tally the grocery totals and send a check. If the grocery totals add up to $29,999, two percent or $600 will be donated to El Nido. To sign up, contact the Network offices for information about the e-Scrips and Albertsons Community Partners Card at (619) 702-5399. |
